  • Volunteer Judging

  • The success of the Kentucky Psychology Student Conference depends on the involvement and generosity of talented and dedicated Faculty and Graduate Students who volunteer their time and energy to encourage Kentucky's psychology students in their academic journeys. The judging session is from 1:15 - 2:15 PM EST but judges need to arrive no later than 12:50 PM to ensure we have time to get things set up and ready to go.

    Judging Opportunities -

Undergraduate Poster Judging | Faculty members and graduate students are welcome to volunteer as judges for this category

Graduate Poster Judging | Faculty members preferred, however, graduate students may be considered

Emerging Research Judging | No formal juding/scoring will be done for posters submitted in this category, however faculty members and graduate students are both welcome and encouraged to volunteer to provide feedback to those in this category

  • VOLUNTEER AGREEMENT: By submitting this form, you agree that you will judge during the time that you have selected. Specific details for each assignment will be sent to you after the poster competition deadline passes March 14th, 2026. If you have questions about the conference or need to reach someone before that time please contact Matana Hoffman at KPAFellow@kpa.org.

  • ED Talks

  • These five-minute talks- using up to 10 slides- are intended for anyone, but especially students, looking to give a brief, high impact presentation to a receptive audience. ED Talks are great for first-time presenters or those presenting on a new topic, as the environment is supportive and decidedly informal.

We will accept any topic you would like to present, but are especially interested in topics that are timely and focus on the impact of recent legislation on higher education. Past topics have included:

    • Adultification Bias & Fostering Black Girlhood
    • The Psychologist's Role in Community Recovery
    • Physicality in Therapy
    • Lessons Learned From Working With a Minor League Baseball Team

Interested? Submit a 50- to 100-word summary of your project. Spots for Ed Talks are limited - those interested are encouraged to apply as soon as possible!

If you have any questions please reach out to Matana Hoffman at KPAFellow@KPA.org
